In-House Tool Shop

With our origin in building patterns, our shop can create tooling in both wood (greensand patterns) and iron (permanent mold and shell coreboxes).

The main advantage of PPF’s in-house tool shop is that we control the tool shop schedule. We are its only customer. Our toolmakers work literally side by side with our molders. If something needs to be changed or made better – it’s all right here.

We can build patterns from good 2-D drawings or using your (or our) 3-D CAD model. Working from CAD models improves accuracy and ultimately, casting delivery.
